Family Awards Announces the Launch of the “Parent Drive 2005” Initiative

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 31, 2005 - Family Awards announces the official launch of “Parent Drive 2005,” its first annual drive to add excellent parents worldwide to the first international Parents Hall of Fame.

The goal of Parent Drive 2005 is to get 22,005 mothers and fathers nominated to the Parents Hall of Fame in 2005. Parents may be nominated through Family Awards’ free online nomination system, or through one of the Family Awards organizational fundraiser packages.

If the Parent Drive 2005 goal has been reached by midnight on December 31, 2005, Family Awards will donate $22,005 to a charitable organization that shares its mission to promote excellence in parenting. The chosen organization will be announced to the public in late 2005.

From the individuals inducted into the Parents Hall of Fame during 2005, one mother and one father will be chosen to receive the first annual Lifetime Achievement Award for Parenting. The winners of the first annual Parenting Lifetime Achievement Awards will be announced on March 31, 2006.

By achieving its goal of reaching 22,005 people in the Parents Hall of Fame, Family Awards hopes to bring attention to the value of dedication to excellent parenting. Founder Dawn Cameron said, “Parent Drive 2005 is an excellent way to thank mom or dad for their hard work and keep people focused on the fact that, while parenting is often difficult and unglamorous, the rewards are real and they far outweigh those of any other pursuit in life.”
